The Waiheke Writers Residency is taking place on 1st-22nd March 2026 in Auckland New Zealand.

This is your chance to step into 21 days of uninterrupted writing time on stunning Waiheke Island nestled in the heart of Palm Beach.

Whether you’re based in New Zealand or overseas, one talented writer will be selected to receive:

21 Days in a tranquil island setting

Return-trip passenger ferry fare

$1,000 NZD stipend to support your writing journey.

Applications are open to experienced writers only.

All NZ-based applicants will also go in the draw to win a bonus weekend getaway on Waiheke Island 28th-30th march giving two chances per entry to be selected, one on merit the other by chance.
